About this chapter
Regular maintenance is essential for reliable function and results. This chapter provides
schedules for preventive maintenance that should be performed by the user of the ÄKTA
avant instrument.
Instructions for replacing pump parts and cleaning pump head check valves are included
in this chapter.
Refer to the ÄKTA avant User Manual for detailed instructions for maintenance and re-
placement of parts.
