monitoring station, and its controller unit located in a Control Room.
The weatherstation is connected to COM1 on Rack IP 10.2.3.104, and the controller is
connected to COM3 on Rack IP 10.2.3.100.
The weatherstation connection on 10.2.3.104 should be configured as a Server. This
example uses the SSL Server option to encrypt the data en route, but a TCP Server
option would also work.
The Incoming IP Port setting is important – each device which uses the Comander
network as a transport layer should be allocated a different port number for its data
traffic. Port numbers below 1024 are reserved, so you should only use port numbers
between 1024 and 65535.
The connection for the weatherstation controller might be configured like this:
The Destination IP Address should be set to the address of the Comander rack
providing the server connection, and the port number must match at both ends of the
link.
