4.4 Alarm Examples
The following examples, in CSM mode, illustrate
the instrument’s display in various alarm conditions.
Examples are based on Default Alarm settings as
detailed in Fig. 4-2.
4.4.1 EXAMPLE 1 (LEL HiHi ALARM)
Fig. 4-3, illustrates a Shipsurveyor 1 instrument following a
‘HiHi’ alarm condition. The audible alarm emits a continuous
warble and the red LED’s ash in alternate pairs.

The alarm is latching, and therefore, can only be
acknowledged (cleared) by the user when the gas level
returns below the 20% LEL alarm limit.
