System information
► The three fields Name, Location and Contact can be individually filled in to provide
information about the LEDI
®
Network TDS in the variables “sysContact”, “sysName” and
“sysLocation” of the classic .iso.org.dod.internet.mgmt.mib-2.system branch.
► Use the community field for SNMP versions 1 and 2c. The community of the SNMP
client connecting to the server must match this field for the server to respond to the
request.
► The default SNMP name for the LEDI
®
Network TDS (visible in an SNMP browser and
GTNetworkManager 2) is LEDI
®
NETWORK TDS nnnnnn where nnnnnn is the 6-digit
serial number.
► The default SNMP name for an additional NTP output is NTP SERVER OUTCARD a
nnnnnn where a is the a is the address of the card on the output bus and nnnnnn is the
LEDI
®
Network TDS 6-digit serial number. You can also find the address of the card in
the “Output” Web page of the Ethernet interface of the time server management.
Security options & SNMPv3 credentials
► The LEDI
®
Network TDS uses an SNMPv3 compatible server with security options.
► You can choose to disable SNMPv1 and SNMPv2c by checking the corresponding box.
Doing so will mean that the server will not respond to any SNMPv1 or SNMPv2c
requests.
