9. APPENDIX D TROUBLESHOOTING
This section provides answers to frequently asked questions about using your NTP device.
First of all, make sure that the GTNetworkManager2 software is installed on your computer.
I HAVE RUN A SEARCH USING GTNETWORKMANAGER2, BUT I CAN’T
DETECT A DEVICE!
Check the cable connection. If the ETHERNET LEDs are visible, the LED at the top left
should light up green. Otherwise, there must be a network connection error or a power
issue.
If you are using several VLANs (Virtual Local Area Networks), check that the device is
on the same VLAN as your computer.
Connect your computer directly to the device using a direct cable. The device
automatically takes an IP address (format 169.254.x.y). Change the IP address of your
computer to this type by using a network mask 255.255.0.0.
I CANNOT OPEN THE CONFIGURATION WEBPAGE!
Firstly, can GTNetworkManager2 detect the device?
YES
Your computer and the device must have the same IP address and the same network
mask,
NO

Has the browser found the web page (loading begins, but fails after a while)?
NO, PAGE CANNOT BE FOUND
If you are using “Internet Explorer”, go to:

Internet Options
Connections
Network Settings
The browser must not use a proxy. Clear all the check boxes.
YES
The web page can be attached, but the browser is unable to load it. Open a TELNET
session:
Telnet <IP address> 9999
Login: root
Password: gtmt
Enter “factory_default”, refresh the web page.
