screensdailyaspartofthestartuproutineand
cleanasrequired.
Isocyanatecancrystallizefrommoisture
contaminationorfromfreezing.Ifthechemicals
usedarecleanandproperstorage,transfer,and
operatingproceduresarefollowed,thereshould
beminimalcontaminationoftheA-sidescreen.
CleantheA-sidescreenonlyduringdaily
startup.Thisminimizesmoisturecontamination
byimmediatelyushingoutanyisocyanate
residueatthestartofdispensingoperations.

2.ClosetheFluidInletValve(XA)atthepump
inlet.Thispreventsmaterialfrombeing
pumpedwhilecleaningthescreen.
3.Placeacontainerunderthestrainerbaseto
catchuidwhenremovingthestrainerdrain
plug(ZB).
4.Aftertheuidhasdrained,removeinlet
cap(ZC)andinletstrainerscreen(ZA)from
thestrainermanifold.Thoroughlyushthe
screenwithcompatiblesolventandshakeit
dry.Inspectthescreen.Nomorethan25%
ofthemeshshouldberestricted.Ifmore
than25%ofthemeshisblocked,replace
thescreen.Inspectthegasketandreplace
asrequired.
5.Installthestrainerplug(ZB)withthescreen
(ZA).
6.Opentheuidinletvalve(XA),thenensure
thattherearenoleaksandwipethe
equipmentclean.Proceedwithoperation.
