7-405 Drilling the Back Panels for Grass Zarge System 6000/7000

Required Equipment:
- 1 drill bit, diameter, Ø 10 mm, right - for back panels with System 6000
- 1 drill bit, diameter, Ø 10 mm, left - for back panels with System 7000
- 1 pendulum stop (accessory)
Machine Set-Up:
- Turn off the main switch on the motor
- Take off the gearbox cover.
- Remove all existing drill bits, including fastening screws, from the gearbox.
- Fasten new drill bit firmly in the gearbox, see chapter 7-201.
- Spindle placement, see illustration 7-405-01.
- Mount the pendulum stop. See chapter 7-204.
- Hang in gearbox cover.
- Adjust the boring depth, if necessary. See chapter 7-301.
- Adjust the boring distance, if necessary. See chapter 7-302.
- Adjust the boring speed of the Ecopress-Pneumatic, if necessary. See chapter 7-303.
- Adjust the turn-on timing of the electric motor, if necessary. See chapter 7-304/305.
- Adjust the hold down clamping device, if necessary. See chapter 7-308.
- Turn on the main switch. The Ecopress is now ready to operate.
Operating the Ecopress-Pneumatic:
- Place the workpiece on the machine table with one hand pressed against the stops on the fence and against
the pendulum stop.
- Press the start button with the second hand until the drilling cycle is complete.
- Place the workpiece from a machine table side on the other side and press with the second side against the
stops on the fence and against the pendulum stop. See chapter 7-204 also.
- Press the start button with the second hand until the the drilling cycle is complete.
Operating the Ecopress-Manual:
- Place the workpiece on the machine table with one hand pressed against the stops on the fence and against
the pendulum stop.
- Press the hand lever downward with the second hand until the drilling cycle is complete.
- Place the workpiece from a machine table side on the other side and press with the second side against the
stops on the fence and against the pendulum stop.
- Press the hand lever downward until the drilling cycle is complete.
Caution:
While the machine is being operated: Keep hands clear of the danger area of the hold down clamping device, the
insertion arm and the drill gearbox. The safety information in chapter 2 is to be followed whenever the machine is
operated.
