7-407 Drilling and Inserting Fastening Hardware Illustration 7-407-01/02
Required Equipment:
- 1 drill bit, diameter, Ø 20 mm, right - cup bore hole
- 1 drill bit, diameter, Ø 10 mm, left - dowel bore hole
- 1 insertion die corresponding to hinge
Machine Set-Up:
- Turn off the main switch on the motor
- Take off the gearbox cover.
- Remove all existing drill bits, including fastening screws, from the gearbox.
- Fasten new drill bit firmly in the gearbox, see chapter 7-201.
- Spindle placement, see illustration 7-401-01.
- Hang in gearbox cover.
- Mount insertion die. See chapter 7-202
- Adjust the boring depth, if necessary. See chapter 7-301.
- Adjust the boring distance, if necessary. See chapter 7-302.
- Adjust the boring speed of the Ecopress-Pneumatic, if necessary. See chapter 7-303.
- Adjust the turn-on timing of the electric motor, if necessary. See chapter 7-304/305.
- Adjust the side stops. See chapter 7-306/307
- Adjust the hold down clamping device, if necessary. See chapter 7-308.
- Turn on the main switch. The Ecopress is now ready to operate.
Operating the Ecopress-Pneumatic:
- Place the workpiece on the machine table with one hand pressed against the stops on the fence and against
the side stop.
- Clamp the workpiece in the hold down clamping device, if available.
- Press the start button with the second hand until the drilling cycle is complete.
- Place the fastening hardware on the insertion die.
- Swing the insertion arm downward to the stop.
- Press the start button until the fastening hardware is completely pressed in.
Operating the Ecopress-Manual:
- Place the workpiece on the machine table with one hand pressed against the stops on the fence and against
the side stop.
- Press the hand lever downward with the second hand until the drilling cycle is complete.
- Place the fastening hardware on the insertion die.
- Swing the insertion arm downward to the stop.
- Press the hand lever downward until the fastening hardware is completely pressed in.
Caution:
While the machine is being operated: Keep hands clear of the danger area of the hold down clamping device, the
insertion arm and the drill gearbox. The safety information in chapter 2 is to be followed whenever the machine is
operated.
