Symptom Cause Correction
In the Hand Mode, the Film
Feed Drive Motor will not
engage.
NOTE: In the Hand Mode,
the Film Feed Drive Motor
should run continuously when
the main power disconnect
switch is latched and all stop
buttons have been reset.
No power to the
Drive Motor.
Open the Electrical Box:
Push the reset lever on the Film Feed Motor
Overload.
Check the Film Feed Motor fuses.
Check that there is 24VDC power to the
Programmable Controller and 220V power to the
Motor.
In the Hand Mode, the film
will not jog, but the Film Feed
Motor is running.
Clutch is not
engaging.
Make sure that the air pressure is set to 80 PSI.
The Vertical Heat Sealer should be actuating the
Limit Switch.
Open the Electrical Box:
In the Hand Mode, the Film
Feed Belts start to jog, then
stall out the Film Feed Motor
on the clutch.
No film between the
Belts and the Fill
Opening.
Spray the Belts and Fill Opening area with water.
Pulse the Jog Button until the film is fed around the
Fill Opening.
In the Auto Mode, the machine
will not start, but the film will
jog when the Selector Switch
is in the Hand Mode.
No power to the
Volumetric Drum
Motor.
Turn the Model 125 Bag Closer on.
Open the Electrical Box:
Push the reset lever on the Volumetric Motor
Overload
In the Auto Mode, the machine
will index one bag, then stop.
The product level in
the Hopper is low.
The Model 125 Bag
Closer Limit Switch
is caught in the
actuated position.
Check the product supply.
Make sure that the Model 125 Bag Closer limit
switch arm moves freely.
In the Auto Mode, the machine
will not start.
Required inputs are
not activating.
Check inputs from the limit switch, air pressure
switch(s), start switch, and interlock from other
machinery.
In the Auto Mode, the film will
not advance (the volumetric
drum is turning).
Required inputs are
not activating.
Check for inputs from the side seal limit switch
(must open and close with each cycle), air pressure
switch and volumetric drum Prox switch (Indicator
light should come “on and off” when tripped by the
cam).
The machine stops and the red
light on the Electrical Box
comes on.
NOTE: A flashing red light
indicates that the machine
stopped due to low product
level, but now there is product
available.
The Hopper is low on
Product.
Increase the supply of product to the Hopper.
Decrease the production rate (bags/min.) of the
machine.
