M4 – Grease or Replace Transcord Shaft Bushing for Squeaking Noise
Ensure that the lift is fully always supported. Take great care in
protecting the PCB. There is a tendency to turn the lift over, thus
damaging or breaking the aluminum standoffs that support the PCB.
1. The Transcord Shaft Bushing (636031 - ) need to be greased, lubricated, or
replaced when there is a squeaking noise during the raising and lowering of the lift cycle
after being in use for a period.
2. Remove the C800/C1000 lift covers as per all of section B1.
3. Remove the Circuit Board (PCB) as per all of section E2.
4. Use the 3/16” and 5/32” Allen Keys to unfasten and remove screws & washers with
Transcord Shaft Support Bracket (636046), make sure don’t pull out Transcord Shaft
Assembly from gear box but only slightly remove Support Bracket.
5. Apply grease on to the Transcord Shaft where the busing rotates on. Reassemble
support bracket and circuit board and test for squeaking noise before close the covers.
Then close the covers if the sound disappears, the maintenance is finished.
6. If there is still squeaking noise, then the Bushing (636031) probably wore too much and
needs to be replaced. Slightly remove the Support Bracket with bushing off the shaft,
make sure to hold and keep the transcord shaft assembly at its original position.
7. Replace old bushing by new one on Support Bracket, then put them back onto
Transcord Shaft and make sure the flange face of busing should be inserted to shaft
first. Then grease the bushing and shaft, reassemble, and test it as shown in step 5.
