Motor shaft retention brake(RSF-5B)
RSF-5B actuator is standard-equipped with a motor shaft holding brake. (Option symbol:
B) An external brake is not required to meet the fail safe and other requirements.
The brake has 2 coils; one for releasing brake, and another for retaining the released
state. By controlling the currents through the coils, power consumption during retention
of brake release can be reduced.
