Battery charging
Always visit your Authorised Distributor/
Dealer if you see any symptom of battery
discharge as earliest as possible to get the
battery charged. The battery has a tendency to
discharge rapidly if additional electrical
accessories are fitted on the motorcycle.
Battery storage
î If in case your motorcycle is not used for
more then a month remove the battery, fully
charge and store in a cool and dry place.
î If the battery is expected to be stored for
more then two months, ensure to fully
charge the battery once in a month.
î Always ensure the battery is fully charged
before installation.
î Ensure the battery leads are properly
connected to the battery terminals during
installation.
Battery removal
î Make sure the ignition switch is "OFF"
î Remove the seat (page 19).
î Remove the right side cover screws (1) and
remove the side cover (2).
î Remove the battery clamp bolt (3) and the
battery clamp (4).
î Disconnect the negative (-)ve terminal lead
(5) from the battery first, then disconnect
the positive (+)ve terminal lead (6).
î Pullout the battery from the battery box.
Battery installation
î Reinstall in the reverse order of removal. Be
sure to connect the positive (+)ve terminal
first, then the negative (-)ve terminal.
î Check all fasteners are secure.
