Why is the live view black on my HikRobot MV-CL021-40GM Digital Camera?
    • J
      Justin AlvarezAug 11, 2025
The live view might appear black because the lens aperture is set too large, or the camera’s exposure value is too small. You should reduce the lens aperture value and increase the camera’s exposure value, or enable auto exposure mode.

What to do if I get a camera connection error with my HikRobot MV-CL021-40GM?
    • C
      Christopher WilliamsAug 17, 2025
A camera connection error can occur if the camera and the client software are not on the same network segment. To fix this, use the MVS IP Configurator tool to find the camera and edit its IP address.

How to fix 'no camera found' error for HikRobot Digital Camera in MVS client software?
    • A
      Amanda PerkinsAug 23, 2025
If the MVS client software can't find the camera, it might not be started up normally, or there may be a network cable connection error. Check the camera power wiring (observe the indicator) and the network connection.

What to do if my HikRobot Digital Camera live view is normal but it cannot be triggered?
    • W
      william07Aug 29, 2025
If the live view is normal, but the camera cannot be triggered, the trigger mode might not be enabled, the trigger source could be incorrect, or the trigger wiring may be faulty. Check whether the trigger mode is enabled and the selected trigger source is correct. Also, check the trigger wiring.

Why can't I set Line Mode to Strobe on my HikRobot Digital Camera?
    • G
      Gina RossSep 3, 2025
If a bi-directional configurable line signal is selected as Line Selector, and Line Mode is currently set to Input, you cannot set Line Mode to Strobe because the bi-directional configurable line signal is selected as the trigger source in one of the line trigger/frame trigger/shaft encoder control/ frequency converter control settings. To resolve this, set other line signals as the trigger source in all line trigger/frame trigger/shaft encoder control/ frequency converter control settings.
