Caregivers should verify that the four green handles are not in the articulated areas of
the bed and that they are properly locked into the straps by the press stud.
In case of evacuation
Undo the two straps securing the mattress to the bed (at the head and foot ends).
Release the evacuation handles by unclipping the press studs.
Disconnect the device from the wall outlet.
The device automatically switches to transport mode and remains inflated.
If the control unit is not disconnected, place it on the mattress.
If the control unit is disconnected:
• Disconnect the hose from the control unit.
• Place the transport cap on the hose as
quickly as possible to prevent the air escaping from the device.
The cap clicks into place.
The device remains inflated for 2 hours when the transport cap
is in place.
Ensure that the power cord and the CPR hose are positioned on the mattress during
the evacuation so that they do not interfere with its progress.
The mattress, in evacuation mode, is not suitable for use with the patient on stairs.
If used with another evacuation device, make sure they are compatible.
Precautions after evacuation
Check the condition of the mattress and that it has not been damaged.
Make sure that the mattress properly working before replacing it on a bed and to
install a patient.
