On an S30 Node, the management port is the leftmost port in the set of
four Ethernet ports on the back of the server module.
2. On the laptop computer, open the Windows Control Panel. Then select
Network and Internet4Network and Sharing Center4Change adapter
settings.
3. On the Network Connections page, double-click on the local area
connection for the port to which you connected the CAT6 Ethernet cable.
The connection you want shows the model of the network controller in
the laptop computer (for example, Intel(R) 82579LM).
4. In the Local Area Connection Status window, click on Properties.
5. On the Networking page in the Local Area Connection Properties window,
select Internet Protocol version 4 (TCP/IPv4). Then click on Properties.
6. Make a note of the settings on the General page in the Internet Protocol
Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) Properties window.
7. On the General page, select Use the following IPaddress. Then set the
fields in that section to the values shown in the table below.

IP address The inet value you noted for the
management network (eht1)
Subnet mask The netmask value you noted for the
management network (eht1)
Default gateway Blank
8. Click on OKto close the Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) Properties
window.
9. Click on OKto close the Local Area Connection Properties window.
