9. If the enclosure is in a rack:
a. Position one or two people at the rear of the rack to brace the rack
while the enclosure is pushed back.
DANGER: If the rack is not braced while the enclosure is
pushed back, the rack may move, resulting in personal
injury to people in the area.
b. While pushing back the green plastic sliders at the front end of the
rails on both sides of the enclosure, push back on the enclosure to
release it. Then slide the enclosure all the way back into the rack
until the enclosure clicks into place.
Step 3 (conditional): Connect the server interconnect
cable
If the purple one-foot server interconnect cable is not already connected to
the two server modules, you need to connect it. To do this, at the rear of the
enclosure, connect the cable to the server interconnect port on each server
module.
Step 4 (conditional): Connect the power cables
An S10 Node has two power cables. The power cables connect the power
and cooling modules in the enclosure to two different PDUs.
If the enclosure was returned in a rack, the PDUs are most likely also in the
rack, with the power cables connected to the power and cooling modules
and the PDUs. If the enclosure was returned rackless, you need to supply
two PDUs with C19 power outlets and make the applicable connections.
