If the enclosure comes racked, the PDUs for the S10 Node may also be
installed in the rack. In this case, you need to remove the PDUs from the
rack.
Important: If multiple enclosures are returned in a single rack, to prevent
the rack from becoming unstable, be sure to unrack the enclosures from the
top down.

A list of what you need for refurbishing an S10 Node
Instructions for the refurbishment procedure
To refurbish an S10 Node:
1.
Conditional: Unpack the enclosure (see page 24)
2.
Conditional: Insert the upgrade-kit drives into the enclosure (see
page 26)
3.
Conditional: Connect the server interconnect cable (see page 29)
4.
Conditional: Connect the power cables (see page 29)
5.
Connect the PDUs to the power sources (see page 30)
6.
Check for hardware issues (see page 30)
7.
Reset the BIOS on the server modules (see page 32)
8.
Wipe the drives (see page 33)
9.
Shut down the S10 Node (see page 40)
10.
Conditional: Prepare the enclosure carton (see page 40)
11.
Disconnect the power cables (see page 41)
12.
Disconnect the server interconnect cable (see page 42)
13.
Conditional: Remove the upgrade-kit drives from the enclosure (see
page 42)
