The DVD/VCR has an auto repeat function that
allows you to repeat a tape indefinitely without touch-
ing B Button.
• Use the remote control for this procedure.
• Insert a pre-recorded tape.
1 Press the MENU Button.
VCR
This function enables you to set the duration of a
recording simply by pressing the REC button on the
DVD/VCR.
1 Follow steps 1 to 3 in “VIEWING AND RECORD-
ING THE SAME PROGRAMME” section.
2 Press the REC Button on the DVD/VCR
repeatedly until the desired recording length
appears.

REC (Normal recording)
• Recording stops when 0:00 is reached.
TO CHECK TIME REMAINING DURING AN OTR
Press the DISPLAY Button.
TO CHANGE THE RECORDING LENGTH DUR-
ING AN OTR
Press the REC Button until the desired length appears.
TO STOP AN OTR BEFORE RECORDING IS FIN-
ISHED
Press the C Button.
TO CANCEL THE OTR BUT CONTINUE RECORDING
Press the REC Button repeatedly until “REC” appears
in the upper left corner of the TV screen.
• If a tape ends during OTR, the DVD/VCR will stop,
eject the tape, and switch to the DVD mode automati-
cally as the TIMER SET light blinks. (If the DVD
power is off, the DVD/VCR will become STANDBY
status).
• When OTR is finished, the TIMER SET Light
blinks. To use the DVD/VCR again, press the
TIMER SET Button on the DVD/VCR.

2 Press the B or C Button to select “SET
UP”, then press the
gButton.
3 Press the B or C Button to select “AUTO
REPEAT”.
4 Press the g Button so that “ON” appears
next to “AUTO REPEAT” on the TV screen.
• When in Stop mode, Auto Repeat mode will start
automatically.
If the on-screen menu still remains, press MENU to exit.
Notes
• Once you select the Auto Repeat mode, it stays in
effect even after you turn off DVD/VCR.
TO STOP PLAYBACK
Press the C Button.
TO EXIT THE AUTO REPEAT MODE
Repeat steps 1 to 3. Then, press the g Button.
“ON” will then disappear from the menu. Press the
MENU button to exit.
This function enables you to select the picture quality
of a tape.
• Use the remote control for this procedure.
1 Press the MENU Button.
2 Press the B or C Button to select “SET
UP”, then press the
g Button.
3 Press the B or C Button to select “PIC-
TURE”.
4 Press the g Button until the desired
mode (NORMAL, SOFT, or SHARP) is indi-
cated on the TV screen.
Note
Once you select the Picture Select mode, it stays in
effect even after you turn off the DVD/VCR.
