Option 1: Recover the server from a backup
If your server becomes corrupted, you can use System Image Recovery to
restore the entire HCP Anywhere edge appliance, including the data on the
edge device, to a point in time before it was corrupted.
To recover the HCP Anywhere edge appliance:
1. Boot into system recovery mode
2. Reimage the OS to a backup image
3. Verify the edge device
Step 1: Boot into system recovery mode
To boot into system recovery mode:
1. Power on the node and hold F8 on the keyboard.
2. In the Boot Menu, select Repair Your Computer.
3. In the Choose an option window, select Troubleshoot.
4. In the Advanced options window, select System Image Recovery.
Step 2: Reimage the OS to a backup image
To reimage the OS to a backup image:
1. Optionally, select Select a system image if you want to restore to an
earlier backup.
2. In the Re-image your computer wizard, click Next.
3. In the Choose an additional restore options page in the wizard, click
Next.
4. In the Confirmation page of the wizard, click Finish.
5. In the popup menu, click OK.
