BATTERY IS DAMAGED OR WEAK
3. Check the alternator charging coil (page 15-10).
STANDARD:
0.2 – 1.0 Ω (20°C/68°F)

4. Remove the battery (page 15-6).
Measure and record the battery voltage using
digital multimeter (15-8).
Install the battery (page 15-6).
Start the engine.
Measure the charging voltage (page 15-8).
Compare the measurement to result of the fol-
lowing calculation.

1. Remove the battery (page 15-6).
Check the battery condition using the recom-
mended battery tester.
RECOMMENDED BATTERY TESTER:
BM-210-AH or BM-210
BATTERY MATE or equivalent
2. Install the battery (page 15-6).
Check the battery current leakage
(Leak test page 15-9).
STANDARD: 1.0 mA max
Disconnect the regulator/rectifier 4P connector and
recheck the battery current leakage.
