The process board ExMFE5 is an “associated electrical
equi
pment” according to EN50020, which provides five
intrinsically safe input circuits of the category [Ex ib Gb] II C:
• Three NAMUR inputs (Z1+/Z1-, Z2+/Z2-, Z3+/Z3-) for
signals, LF pulses and HF pulses.
As an alternative, the first channel is suitable for
connecting an encoder index.
• A resistance input in 4-wire technology (I+/U+/U-/I-).
• An analog current input 4 … 20mA (P+/P-), alter-
natively usable as a HART interface.
