5.5.4 ESER4 Process Board
The process board ESER4 provides for three serial interfaces,
each for one protocol channel (CH1, CH2, CH3). Every
protocol channel alternatively supports RS485, RS422 or
RS232. Moreover, one LAN interface (Ethernet network) is
available.
For a device in 1/3 overall width, a maximum of one
ESER4 board can be installed in slot 4 only. For a
device in 1/2 overall width, up to two ESER4 boards
can be installed in slots 6 and 7 only.

5.5.5 MFA8 Process Board
The process board MFA8 provides eight output circuits:
• One digital message output (D1a/D1b).
• Three digital outputs (D2+/D2-, D3+/D3-, D4+/D4-)
for messages, trigger outputs or LF pulses.
• Four analog outputs (I1, I2, I3, I4/I-) 0... 20 mA or
4 … 20 mA for measurements.
