Add or Switch Between Network Carriers
The SDR radio and Sim card slot in the EDA71-1 WWAN model make it easy for you
to add carriers and switch between them as needed.
Use the Carrier Selection app to quickly change your WWAN radio network carrier.
1. Swipe up from the bottom of the Home screen to access all apps.
2. Tap Carrier Selection .
3. Select a carrier from the list, and then tap Apply Settings.
• If the update is successful, the Carrier Selection screen appears and displays
the updated carrier information.
• If the update is unsuccessful, a message appears. Tap OK to return to the
Carrier Selection screen.
About the microSIM Card Slot
EDA71-1 WWAN tablets (model EDA71) come equipped with one microSIM and
card slot to support cellular phone features.
For more information on how to insert a microSIM card into the tablet, see Insert a
microSIM or a microSD Card on page 13.
Activate the Phone
You use a SIM card to activate the phone on your EDA71 WWAN tablet EDA71-1.
You can purchase the micro SIM card from your network provider. EDA71-1 WWAN
models includes one microSIM card slot and one microSD card slot for multiple
network provider flexibility.
1. Select a network carrier. To learn how, see Add or Switch Between Network
Carriers on page 40.
2. Activate and configure the SIM slot you are installing the card in.
3. Press and hold the Power button until the options menu appears.
4. Tap Power Off and then OK to verify.
