ASSEMBLY NOTE
When installing the top cover, ensure the lip on the back edge of the
top cover catches the tab on the chassis when the top cover is fully
seated in place.
If the bus expander is mounted on the computer, follow these steps to remove the computer's
top cover with bus expander attached:
1. Remove the bus expander's power supply access cover.
2. Slide the bus expander's top cover to the rear and up and remove the bus expander's top
cover.
3. Reach through the bus expander's bottom cable slot, and disconnect the module inter-
connect cables from
the COlllputer's backplane.
4. Slide the computer's top cover (with bus expander attached) to the rear and up and
remove this assembly.
5. To install the cOlnputer's top cover (with bus expander attached), reverse steps 1 through
4.

Preliminary Requirements
1. Turn the COlllputer off.
2. Rernove the power cord.
Procedures
1. Using a thin blade flat-tip screwdriver, release the front panel catches on the right and
left sides by pressing them inward as shown in Figure 2-4.
