DIO
card
cages come in 2-
and
4-
slot versions for
the
computer
or
HP
98570A expander. For
the
HP
98568A
Opt.
132
expander,
only two 4-slot
card
cages are used. Replacement procedures
are given for each type.
Preliminary Requirements
Turn
the
unit
off. RerIlove
the
power cord
and
these items:
1.
All cables from
DIO
cards
in
the
slots.
2.
DIO
slot cover if installed.
3. Power supply access cover.
4.
Remove
the
expander
from
the
computer
if
the
computer's
2-
or
4-slot
DIO
card
cage is
to
be
removed.
5.
Top cover.
Procedure
1.
Disconnect
the
DIO
ribbon
cables from
the
motherboard.
2.
Remove
the
screw holding
the
right side
of
the
DIO
card
cage
to
the
card
cage bracket.
Refer
to
Figure
2-13.
a.
If
a 2-slot
DIO
expander
is installed,
the
card
cage bracket is a
separate
metal
piece
that
slips
into
the
slot
on
the
right side
of
the
computer.
