Configure Ten-GigabitEthernet 1/1/7 on Switch A as a static router port. Then, IPv6 multicast data can
flow to the receivers nearly uninterrupted along the path of Switch A—Switch C when the path of Switch
A—Switch B—Switch C is blocked.

Configuration procedure
1. Assign an IPv6 address and prefix length to each interface according to Figure 71. (Details not
shown.)
2. Configure Router A:
# Enable IPv6 multicast routing.
<RouterA> system-view
[RouterA] ipv6 multicast routing
[RouterA-mrib6] quit
# Enable MLD on Ten-GigabitEthernet 1/1/5.
[RouterA] interface ten-gigabitethernet 1/1/5
[RouterA-Ten-GigabitEthernet1/1/5] mld enable
[RouterA-Ten-GigabitEthernet1/1/5] quit
# Enable IPv6 PIM-DM on Ten-GigabitEthernet 1/1/6.
[RouterA] interface ten-gigabitethernet 1/1/6
[RouterA-Ten-GigabitEthernet1/1/6] ipv6 pim dm
[RouterA-Ten-GigabitEthernet1/1/6] quit
3. Configure Switch A:
# Enable MLD snooping globally.
<SwitchA> system-view
[SwitchA] mld-snooping
[SwitchA-mld-snooping] quit
# Create VLAN 100, assign Ten-GigabitEthernet 1/1/5 through Ten-GigabitEthernet 1/1/7 to
the VLAN, and enable MLD snooping for the VLAN.
