Channel versus Output
In the HP 8904A, Channel refers to an internal synthesized signal
source. The standard
HP 8904A configuration provides a single
channel. Instruments with Option
01 capabilities have four channels
and those with Option
02 only have two channels. Each channel
provides
six waveform choices (sine, ramp, triangle, square, noise and
dc)
.
Output refers to an HP 8904A Output Port. The standard HP 8904A
configuration provides 1 Output Port. Option 02 adds a second
Output Port.
