Replaceable Assemblies
The following procedures describe the removal of replaceable assemblies. The reassembly proce-
dures are the reverse of the removal procedures.
If specific procedures are required for reassembly
they are provided.
The computer
is
in a System
II
enclosure (HP 9030) or a stand-alone cabinet (HP 9040). The
procedures apply to both models with exceptions noted.
Note
References to top, bottom, right side,
and
left side covers are to the
System
II
enclosure covers. Orientation
is
for a
HP
9030
as viewed from
the front (service panel end). When servicing a
HP
9040,
mounted
in
the stand-alone cabinet, realize that the System
II
enclosure
is
rotated
90
degrees counterclockwise. For example, a reference to a top cover
actually refers to the left side cover of the cabinet-mounted
HP
9040.
