Rack-mounting requirements
Before rack-mounting a switch, make sure the rack meets the following requirements:
 Size. The rack must be appropriately sized to hold the switch.
 Ventilation. HP recommends that you mount a switch in an open rack. If you mount a switch in a
closed rack, provide an adequate heat dissipation system. With either type of rack, there must be
enough space around the switch's left and right panels for unimpeded airflow and heat dissipation.
 Sturdy support. The rack must provide steady, secure support for the switch and accessories.

 Phillips screwdriver P1 – 100 mm, P2 – 150 mm, and P3 – 250 mm

 Meters and equipment such as HUB, terminal, and multimeter
 ESD-preventive gear, including gloves or wrist strap, mat or other work surface, and antistatic bags
