Connecting the AC power cord
To connect the AC power cord, as shown in Figure 25:
1. Make sure the router is grounded properly and the power switch of the router is in the OFF
position.
2. Connect one end of the power cord shipped with the router to the power socket on the rear panel,
and connect the other end to an AC power source.

Verifying the installation
CAUTION:
The post-installation check is important to ensure proper operation of the router.
Before powering on the router, ensure that:
There is enough space around the router for heat dissipation.
The router is mounted securely on a sturdy workbench or rack.
Antennae, USB devices, and interface modules are installed correctly.
The router, rack, and power module are grounded properly.
The power supply meets requirements.
The router is connected correctly to the console terminal and other devices; parameters are
configured correctly on the console terminal.
Starting up and configuring the router
Before starting up the router, set up the configuration environment as described in "Connecting the
console cable and setting terminal parameters." Then, power on the router and perform initial
configuration for the router.
Powering on the router
WARNING!
Before powering on the router, locate the power source switch so that you can cut off power promptly
in case of an emergency.
To power on the router:
1. Switch on the power source.
