The diskette in the
optical drive/diskette
drive assembly is
preventing the system
from loading.
Remove the diskette.
SmartStart fails
during installation.
An operating system
has not been selected.
1. Press the F9 key to run RBSU.
2. Select the primary operating system.
Error occurs during
installation.
Follow the error information provided. If it is
necessary to reinstall, first run the System Erase
Utility.
Refer to the Servers Troubleshooting Guide.
CAUTION: The System Erase Utility causes the loss of all configuration information, as
well as loss of existing data on all connected hard drives. Read “System Erase Utility”
and the associated cautionary statements in the Servers Troubleshooting Guide before
performing this operation.
Server cannot load
operating system.
Required operating
system step was
missed.
Follow these steps:
1. Note at which phase the operating system
failed.
2. Remove any loaded operating system
components.
3. Refer to the operating system
documentation.
4. Reinitiate installation procedures.
Installation problem
occurred.
Refer to the operating system documentation
and to the SmartStart release notes.
Primary hard drive
controller installation is
incorrect.
Run RBSU by pressing the F9 key and correct
this problem.
