Optical Drive
CAUTION: All removable media should be taken out of the drive before removing the drive from the
computer.
NOTE: An optical drive is a CD-ROM, CD-R/RW, DVD-ROM, DVD+R/RW, or CD-RW/DVD Combo
drive.
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (Preparation for Disassembly on page 87).
2. Remove the access panel (
Access Panel on page 88).
3. Remove the front bezel (
Front Bezel on page 89).
4. Rotate the drive cage to the upright position.
5. Disconnect the power and data cables from the back of the hard drive.
6. Remove the SATA cable from the clip on the bottom of the drive cage.
