3. Remove the Phillips M2.0 × 2.5 broad head screw (3) that secures the ngerprint reader and bracket to the
computer.
4. Remove the ngerprint reader bracket (4).
The ngerprint reader bracket is included in the Bracket Kit, spare part number N13682-001.
5. Remove the ngerprint reader (5) and cable.
To install thengerprint reader, reverse the removal procedure.
Fingerprint reader cable
To remove the ngerprint reader cable, use this procedure and illustration.
NOTE: The ngerprint reader cable is included in the Cable Kit, spare part number N18760-001.
Before removing the ngerprint reader cable, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (see Preparation for disassembly on page 39).
2. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 39).
3. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 41).
4. Remove the right speaker (see Speakers on page 49).
5. Remove the ngerprint reader (see Fingerprint reader on page 71).
