6. Disconnect the MAIN antenna cable (1) from the WLAN module.
7. Release the MAIN antenna cable from the routing channel (2) that is built into the system chassis.
8. Press down on the tab (1) on the transceiver cover, and then remove the cover (2) by swinging the
top edge down and away from the system chassis.
9. Remove the slotted Torx screw (3) that secures the MAIN antenna transceiver to the system
chassis.
10. Release the MAIN antenna cable through the opening in the system chassis (4).
11. Remove the MAIN antenna cable and transceiver (5).
To install the wireless antenna, reverse the removal procedures.
NOTE: If you install an external antenna, the recommended distance to place the antenna from the
computer is 30 cm (12 in).
