ROM checksum.
1. Verify the correct ROM.
2. Flash the ROM if needed.
3. If an expansion board was recently
added, remove it to see if the
problem remains.
4. Clear CMOS.
5. If the message disappears, there
might be a problem with the
expansion card.
6. Replace the system board.
003-System Board Failure DMA or timers. 1. Clear CMOS.
2. Replace the system board.
005-Real-Time Clock Power Loss Invalid time or date in configuration
memory. RTC (real-time clock) battery
might need to be replaced.
Reset the date and time under Control
Panel (Computer Setup can also be
used). If the problem persists, replace
the RTC battery. See Removal and
replacement procedures on page 22
for instructions about installing a new
battery.
008–Microcode Patch Error Processor is not supported by the BIOS. 1. Upgrade BIOS to proper version.

system board.
