WARNING: To reduce the risk of personal injury, be
careful when pressing the server rail-release latches and sliding
the server into the rack. The sliding rails could pinch your fingers.
3. After performing the installation or maintenance procedure, slide the server
back into the rack:
a. Press the server rail-release latches and slide the server fully into rack.
b. Secure the server by tightening the thumbscrews.
Access Panel
To remove the component from a rack server:
1. Power down the server ("Powering Down the Server" on page 15
).
2. Remove the server from the rack ("Removing the Server from the Rack" on
page 18
).
3. Loosen the two thumbscrews on the front panel of the server near the access
panel.
4. Slide the access panel back about 1.5 cm (0.5 in).
5. Lift and remove the access panel.
