Remove the drive from the optical disk drive cage.
To replace the component, reverse the removal procedure.
System fan
CAUTION: To prevent improper cooling and thermal damage, do not operate the server
unless all bays are populated with either a component or a blank.
To remove the component:
1. Power down the server (on page 24).
2. Remove all power:
a. Disconnect each power cord from the power source.
b. Disconnect each power cord from the server.
3. Remove the access panel (on page 24).
4. Remove the system fan:
a. Disconnect the fan cable.
b. Remove two screws from the rear panel.
