Installing the Capacity Upgrade Kit, BB974A and BB976A disk pack
This section applies to StoreOnce 5250 and 5650 Systems.
The StoreOnce 5250 and 5650 Systems include one storage enclosure, containing 11 preconfigured
disks and 4 hot spare disks, that is connected at installation.
NOTE: Once the base enclosure is full, install an HPE StoreOnce 5250/5650 Drawer Upgrade Kit
(BB966A or BB968A) for additional storage.
Disk bay numbering and initial configuration of the enclosure
The following drawing provides the numbering of the disk bays within the storage enclosure drawers. The
drawing also shows the initial configuration of an enclosure with some disk bays populated and others
blank. The base enclosure that comes with the system and each capacity upgrade enclosure is initially
configured this way.
