Recheck
that
the
device
is
fully
inserted
into
the
7212
Storage
Enclosure
and
centered
in
the
enclosure
opening.
While
holding
the
device
in
position,
tighten
the
two
mounting
screws
(see
2
in
Figure
13
on
page
32).

bottom
of
the
7212
Storage
Enclosure.
8.
If
the
device
is
a
DDS4
tape,
VXA
technology
tape,
CD-ROM,
or
DVD-RAM
drive,
install
the
SCSI
address
cable
included
in
the
device
feature
kit.
At
the
rear
of
the
7212
Storage
Enclosure
locate
the
rectangular
hole
adjacent
to
the
cooling
fan
that
is
directly
behind
the
bay
where
the
device
is
installed
(see
1
and
2
in
Figure
2
on
page
2).
If
the
rectangular
hole
is
covered
with
tape,
remove
the
tape.
Thread
the
SCSI
address
cable
into
the
7212
Storage
Enclosure
through
the
rectangular
hole,
ensure
that
the
address
switch
is
upright,
then
snap
the
switch
into
the
rectangular
hole.
9.
If
the
device
being
installed
is
a
CD-ROM
or
DVD-RAM
drive
and
the
drive
is
installed
in
bay
B
(see
Figure
1
on
page
1),
install
the
audio
connector
assembly
included
in
the
device
feature
kit.
At
the
rear
of
the
7212
Storage
Enclosure
locate
the
two
circular
holes
adjacent
to
the
right
most
cooling
fan
that
is
directly
behind
bay
B
(see
3
in
Figure
2
on
page
2).
If
the
circular
holes
are
covered
with
tape,
remove
the
tape.
From
the
inside
of
the
7212
Storage
Enclosure,
slide
the
audio
connectors
into
the
two
circular
holes,
using
the
screw
provided,
attach
the
connector
to
the
rear
of
the
7212
Storage
Enclosure.
Fasten
the
cylindrical
EMC
shield
to
the
bottom
of
the
7212
Storage
Enclosure
using
the
clamp
and
screw
provided
in
the
kit.
10.
Route
cables
in
the
7212
Storage
Enclosure
so
that
they
do
not
interfere
with
the
fans
or
other
components
in
the
enclosure.
Use
the
cable
clamps
in
the
7212
Storage
Enclosure
to
restrain
the
cables.
Connect
the
drive
power
cable,
SCSI
cable,
SCSI
address
cable,
and
(if
the
device
is
a
CD
or
DVD)
the
audio
cable
as
appropriate.
11.
Install
the
cover.
Lift
the
rear
of
the
cover
and
slide
it
forward
and
onto
the
7212
Storage
Enclosure.
Install
the
six
screws
(two
on
each
side
1
and
two
on
the
back
2
)
that
secure
the
top
cover
of
the
enclosure
to
the
chassis.
Removing
and
Replacing
the
Power
Supply
To
remove
the
power
supply
from
the
7212
Storage
Enclosure:
1.
Perform
the
cover
removal
procedure.
Refer
to
Removing
and
Replacing
the
Cover
on
page
28.
2.
Disconnect
the
power
switch
cable
3
from
the
power
supply
by
pinching
the
retaining
tabs
on
the
sides
of
the
connector
and
pulling
the
cable
connector
out
of
the
power
supply
assembly.

Disconnect
the
power
supply
connector
from
the
power
distribution
cable
4.
4.
Remove
the
mounting
screw
1
located
on
the
rear
of
the
enclosure
to
the
right
of
the
external
power
connector.
5.
Remove
the
two
internal
mounting
screws
2
on
the
side
of
the
power
supply
assembly.
6.
Lift
the
front
of
the
power
supply
assembly
and
pull
the
assembly
forward.
Lift
the
assembly
out
and
away
from
the
enclosure.
DANGER
Do
not
attempt
to
open
the
covers
of
the
power
supply.
Power
supplies
are
not
serviceable
and
are
to
be
replaced
as
a
unit.
