Note:
The
new
device
to
be
installed
in
the
7212
Storage
Enclosure
may
require
a
different
SCSI
address
cable
and
audio
cable
than
those
used
by
the
removed
device.
Remove
the
old
SCSI
address
cable
and
audio
cable
from
the
7212
Storage
Enclosure
as
appropriate.
The
SCSI
address
cables
are
removed
by
depressing
the
tabs
on
the
switch
and
guiding
the
switch
cable
out
of
the
chassis.
7.
Note
the
location
of
the
two
flat
head
screws
(one
on
each
side
of
the
device).
Remove
the
two
flat
head
screws
and
set
aside
for
use
in
securing
a
new
device
into
the
7212
Storage
Enclosure
(see
Figure
11
for
screw
locations).
This
completes
the
device
removal
procedure.

in
Installing
a
Storage
Device
in
the
Enclosure
to
install
a
device.

Storage
Device
in
the
Enclosure
1.
Prepare
the
7212
Storage
Enclosure
for
device
installation
by
removing
a
device,
using
the
steps
in
Removing
and
Replacing
the
Cover
on
page
28.
2.
Determine
into
which
bay
the
device
is
to
be
installed.
If
a
device
is
already
installed
in
the
bay,
follow
the
procedure
in
Removing
a
Storage
Device
from
the
Enclosure
on
page
29
to
remove
the
device.
3.
Locate
the
7212
Storage
Enclosure
device
field
upgrade
kit
that
you
plan
to
install.
4.
Prepare
the
device
for
installation
into
the
7212
Storage
Enclosure
by
installing
and
tightening
the
2
flat
head
screws
into
the
device
side
mount
holes
as
shown
in
Figure
11
(Do
not
attach
Mounting
brackets
at
this
time).
Note:
Install
the
screws
in
the
lowest
set
of
device
side
mount
screw
holes
with
one
screw
in
the
front
left
corner
of
the
device
and
one
screw
in
the
rear
right
corner
of
the
device.
5.
Slide
the
device
into
the
7212
Storage
Enclosure
through
the
front
opening
of
the
enclosure
as
shown
in
Figure
12
on
page
32.
Position
the
device
so
that
is
fully
inserted
into
the
7212
Storage
Enclosure
and
centered
within
the
enclosure
opening.
