The following procedure describes how to manually remove a data cartridge from
the tape drive. If this procedure is performed, replace the drive, discard the used
media, and use new media.
1. Remove the drive from the 7212 Storage Enclosure (see “Removing a Storage
Device from the Enclosure” on page 29).
2. Remove the front bezel (the bezel snaps on) by doing the following:
a. Use a small screwdriver to press the bezel tabs 1 on each side of the
drive.
b. Rotate the bottom of the bezel toward the front to release the bezel
attachments on the top of the drive.
c. Lift the bezel off the top locating tabs.
d. Remove the bezel from the unit.
