Remove
the
top
lid
of
the
drive
mechanism
by
doing
the
following:
a.
Use
a
small
screwdriver
to
press
the
top
tabs
2
on
each
side
of
the
drive.
b.
Slide
the
cover
approximately
5mm
to
the
rear,
and
then
lift
the
cover
off.
4.
Locate
the
large
thumb
wheel
below
the
right
side
of
the
data
cartridge.
5.
Gently
rotate
the
thumb
wheel
(see
1
in
Figure
33)
counter-clockwise
to
remove
slack
from
the
tape
by
winding
the
media
onto
the
take-up
reel.
6.
Insert
a
Phillips
head
screwdriver
in
the
Load
Motor
Access
hole
(see
2
in
Figure
33).
Rotate
the
load
motor
clockwise
to
unwind
the
tape
path.
Unwind
the
mechanism
until
tape
slack
appears.
7.
Once
tape
slack
appears,
gently
rotate
the
thumb
wheel
again
to
remove
the
slack
from
the
tape
by
winding
the
media
onto
the
take-up
reel.
8.
Repeat
steps
6
and
7
until
all
of
the
tape
media
is
wound
onto
the
cartridge
take-up
wheel.
9.
When
the
tape
is
completely
rewound
into
the
cartridge,
turn
the
load
motor
clockwise
until
the
tape
cartridge
is
lifted
out
of
the
drive
mechanism
and
ejected.
10.
Remove
the
tape
cartridge.
11.
Install
the
bezel.
a.
Insert
Bezel
top
catch
tabs
into
their
the
respective
openings
in
the
top
of
the
drive
chassis
so
that
notches
catch
on
drive
chassis.
b.
Open
bezel
door
by
inserting
one
index
finger
through
the
door
opening.
Attention:
You
will
need
to
keep
the
door
open
until
the
bezel
has
been
fully
seated
to
be
sure
the
door
is
positioned
behind
the
door
opening
mechanism.
c.
With
the
bezel
door
open,
and
top
catch
tabs
inserted
into
their
slots
rotate
the
bezel
down
slowly,
ensuring
the
side
catch
tabs
clip
on
the
inside
of
the
metal
drive
chassis.
