– The Wake Up on Ring feature is working normally. If the
symptom remains, go to “Index of Symptoms, Messages,
Error Codes, or Beeps” on page 2-9.

– Power-off the system unit.
– Power-on the system unit and press F1 while the memory count is
running.
– In the Setup Utility, select the Rapid Resume option. (If you cannot
access Rapid Resume, replace the system board.)
– If disabled, use the ← key to enable APM BIOS Mode (top line of
screen)
– Press the ← key to disable or enable both the Wake Up on Ring
and Ring Indicator fields.

Replace the system board.

– Check the Wake Up on Ring feature cable from the system board to
the Mwave card for continuity. Replace if necessary.
– Check for proper installation of the Wake Up on Ring cable to the
system board. See “System Board Layout—Type A-1” on page 5-2
and “System Board Layout—Type A-2” on page 5-5
