As a quick check for the speaker or beeper:
1. Power off the system unit.
2. Disconnect the speaker cable
assembly, if present.
3. Place a jumper on the speaker
connector, pins 1, 2. See “System
Board Layout—Type I-1” on page 5-2
and “System Board Layout—Type I-2”
on page 5-5.
4. Power on the system unit.
5. Listen for a beep from the system
board beeper.
