Setting Favorite channels
You can quickly recall often-used channels by setting them
as Favorite channels, which can be independently assigned
to each channel group.
Hold down q [U/I/C] (CH/WX) for 1 second to change the
channel group, if needed. Repeat to go to the next group.
Select the desired channel to be set as a Favorite channel. w
Hold down e [*] for 1 second.
•ThedisplayedchannelissetasaFavoritechannel.
•“
” appears on the display.
Selecting a Favorite channel:
➥ Push [FAV] several times to select the desired Favorite
channel.
•Non-Favoritechannelsareskippedandnotdisplayed.
•Youcanalsoselectthefavoritechannelsbypushing[Y] or [Z]
while holding down [FAV].
Clearing a Favorite channel:
Select the desired Favorite channel you want to clear. q
Hold down w [*] for 1 second.
•“
” disappears.
Clearing all Favorite channels:
➥ While holding down [*] (FAV), turn ON the power.
•AllFavoritechannelsintheselectedchannelgrouparecleared.
•WhennochannelissetasFavoritechannel:
Holding down [*] (FAV), turn ON the power sets all channels as
Favorite channels.
Starting a scan
Hold down q [U/I/C] (CH/WX) for 1 second to change the
channel group. Repeat to advance to the desired group.
•WhentheWeatherAlertfunctionisinuse,selectadesired
weather channel by pushing [CH/WX] and [Y] or [Z].
Push w [SCAN] to start a scan.
•“SCAN” blinks while scanning.
•Duringapriorityscan,“16”appearsonthesubchannelreadout.
•Whenasignalisreceived,thescanpausesuntilthesignal
disappears, or resumes after pausing 5 seconds, depending on
the Scan Resume Timer setting.
To stop the scan, push e [SCAN] again.
•“SCAN” disappears.
•Pushing[PTT], [16/C], [CH/WX] or [FAV] also stops the scan.
NOTE:
In order to properly receive signals, the squelch must be
adjusted to the proper level. (Page 11)
