6: M ODBUS C OMMUNICATION
Modbus RTU Pass-Through Function
The Modbus RTU pass-through function allows a Modbus TCP client connected to a Modbus TCP network to access a Modbus RTU
slave connected to a Modbus RTU network.
This function can read and write devices on a Modbus RTU slave device connected to port 1 of the FC6A Series MicroSmart from
the Modbus TCP client device connected to Ethernet port 1 of the FC6A Series MicroSmart.
The Modbus RTU pass-through function is only supported between Ethernet port 1 and port 1 on the FC6A Series MicroSmart.
