PTC Thermistor (Threshold)
This section describes details on PTC thermistor (threshold).
The value is stored in the data (7) according to the resistance of the PTC thermistor and the minimum and maximum values (3).
The relationship between the resistance of the PTC thermistor, the minimum and maximum values (3), and the data (7) is as follows.
For the operation when the resistance of the PTC thermistor matches the minimum or maximum value, see "Hysteresis" below.
Hysteresis
The system has a hysteresis of ±20 Ω for the minimum and maximum values that are set (3). For example, if the minimum value
is set to 1,500 and the maximum value is set to 7,000, the operation is shown as follows.
Note: When setting the minimum and maximum values (3), ensure that the difference between the two values is 41 or greater. If the difference
between the minimum and maximum values (3) is less than or equal to 40, status 3 (parameter setting error) is stored in the status (8).
Behavior of the Status
If the resistance of the PTC thermistor is out of range, the following values are stored in status (8).
If the resistance of the PTC thermistor is less than 100 Ω, status 6 (wiring fault (out of minimum range)) is stored in status (8).
If the resistance of the PTC thermistor is greater than 10,000 Ω, status 5 (wiring fault (out of maximum range)) is stored in status (8).
Value stored in the data (7): 1 Minimum value (3) > PTC thermistor resistance
Value stored in the data (7): 2 Minimum value (3) ≤ PTC thermistor resistance ≤ Maximum value (3)
Value stored in the data (7): 4 Maximum value (3) < PTC thermistor resistance
A: The value of the data (7) changes from 1 to 2 when the resistance of the PTC thermistor is greater than or equal to 1,520 Ω
B: The value of the data (7) changes from 2 to 4 when the resistance of the PTC thermistor exceeds 7,020 Ω
C: The value of the data (7) changes from 4 to 2 when the resistance of the PTC thermistor is less than or equal to 6,980 Ω
D: The value of the data (7) changes from 2 to 1 when the resistance of the PTC thermistor is less than 1,480 Ω
