Calibration
182
Machine Element Lengths are a Little Bit Off After Calibration (cont.)
Extension poles used:
Check their length screwed together. They should be 3.087 ft (37.05 in, 94.1 cm).
If you find a different length, you will need to change the preset value in the Machine Parameters. The element lengths & offset angles
will get re-calculated automatically.
For long reach machines, or any machine that has extra long elements, we recommend NOT to use the extension tubes. Use a laser
pointer setup with a distance of at least 6 ft. (2 m) between the two levels.
Extension poles not used:
Make sure that the elevation difference between the low & high laser pointer level has been measured accurately AND entered into the
Control Box accordingly. Make sure the Unit Length is correct as well.
For long reach machines, or any machine that has extra long elements, we recommend NOT to use the extension tubes. Use a laser
pointer setup with a distance of at least 6 ft. (2 m) between the two levels.
Magnetic target tube:
Make sure the magnetic target tube was attached to the correct bucket pivot point.
Try to always shoot the same LOCATION on the target tube to avoid an error due to a tilted target tube.
Bad Bucket Calibration using the Automatic Procedure
Open/Close view not correct:
Make sure that the sensor SIDE detection selected the correct Sensor side.
