Bad Bucket Calibration using the Automatic Procedure (cont.)
• Repeat the calibration procedure:
• Make sure to put the bucket tip/edge very accurately on the SAME spot each time.
• Chose a solid reference spot so it won’t get moved in between the 8/10 points.
• If the bucket sensor is on the dog bone, make sure to chose a high reference spot so you’ll be able to shoot points with the bucket more
closed than floating.
• Chose the spot’s location in a reasonable distance to the cab, best results are 3-6 ft (1-2 m) away from the cab, referring to the
dipper/boom pivot point transferred vertically to the ground.
Bad Bucket Calibration using the Manual Procedure
• Open/Close view not correct:
• Make sure you selected the correct side for the bucket Sensor.
• Re-check the bucket length:
• Make sure to select the correct unit of length when entering the data.
• Make sure to use the correct bucket pivot point to measure from.
• Measure straight to the bucket tip/edge, do NOT measure as an angle.
• Re-plumb the bucket:
• Make sure that “Vertical” was selected.
• Make sure that the plumb string line isn’t blocked by the quick link or bucket.
• Make sure to choose the correct pivot point to attach the plumb line.
• If you used the “Horizontal” option instead of the “Vertical” option, the bucket will be opened, NOT closed.
