Optical Engine
The optical engine (535-0021-xx) fastens to the bottom case. The engine includes the projection lens,
color wheel assembly, and DMD ECA.
CAUTION The color wheel is unprotected on the side of the optical engine. Avoid touching the color
wheel. The edge of the glass wheel is sharp and can cause personal injury. Touching the color
wheel can break it or leave smudges that degrade the image.
1 Remove the following items:
Lamp module (page 24)
Focus ring (page 6)
Zoom ring (page 17)
Front bezel (page 18)
Rear bezel (page )
Top case (page 39)
Power supply and AC filter ECA (page 6)
Chassis (page 8)
Controller ECA (page 10)
Lamp housing (page 26)
2 Remove the two M3x10 Plastite Phillips screws that fasten the optical engine to the bottom case.
